~ Children play a drama of “a Doctor exploring the filed” ~
It is a museum where children meet exhibits through playing a drama of “a Doctor exploring the filed”. Mysterious peepholes and sounds on the white walls lead children’s interest “What are there?”, and once get behind, they will find many archives of animals and plants in the labyrinthine space with colorful scenery of nature. A huge library looks like “a Doctor’s laboratory” with many books and stuffed animals makes children amazed at the scale of natural history, and they will get excited in searching what they are interested in. I hope children develop their imagination and the spirit of inquiry through the exciting experience in both of “Field” and “Laboratory” in this unique landscape.

MieMu こども体験展示室
~ まるで博士になってフィールドを探検するような博物館~
まるで博士になってフィールドを探検しているように展示物と出会うことができる博物館。海や山をかたどった白い壁には、不思議な音やなぞめいたのぞき穴が散りばめられ、なんだろう?と裏に回ると、山や海のカラフルな風景を回遊しながら、たくさんの動物や植物の資料に触れることができます。奥の巨大な本棚には資料や剥製がずらりと並び、博物学の圧倒的な情報量の凄さを感じながら、思い思いの調べ物に没頭できます。フィールドと研究室、博物学の二つのエキサイティングな場面を思いきり体感することによって、子どもたちが想像力や追究心をより伸ばすことのできる博物館になりました。
