Fuw-Fuwa Sculptures
~Play with shadows of the great sculptures~
I was asked from the client to design a space where people with babies and infants can stay and relax while feeling closer to the arts in the Museum.
For most of the children, art exhibitions look something serious and hardly understood. Then I made charming cushion furniture in the shapes of the sculptures in the museum, and spread them into the large space like a gymnasium.
Once visit there, children get crazy for climbing or jumping on the unusual- scaled objects for a long time. After being satisfied, they visit the exhibition and find his or her familiar shape, saying “I know that!”, and get start to come closer and learn the arts curiously.
